All materials and jewelry components used in the design and crafting of each barrette and brooch are described as carefully as possible and to the best of our ability. Please remember that in the case of jewelry pieces obtained from estate sales, the actual type or origin of the stone or piece may not be known. Also be aware that most jewelry components will have normal variations in color and the overall wear and tear. Vintage pieces will have the most variations.

When brass stampings and moldings are used, the actual plating may vary from one source to another resulting in slight color variations. Plating is used to provide the following: bright silver finish and antiqued silver finish (sterling silver plate), bright gold finish and antiqued gold finish (10k gold finish) and antiqued copper finish. No pieces are represented as solid sterling silver or solid gold unless specifically designated as such.

Sizes of barrettes and barrette clasps are approximate by ¼ - ½ inch.
